The headmaster of Prako Methodist Basic Schools in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region Mr. Painstil Akor Eugene has appealed to government and philanthropists to help the school put up a KG block.
Observation by the paper indicates that, about 250 children learn a roof sheet shed that expose them to sunshine and rain with attendant health challenges. In interview with the headmaster, he reiterated that, a 12 unit classroom block was built by the Millennium Challenge Authority with support from the government of Ghana and no structure has been built to accommodate the nursery.
According to him, many efforts have been made to get a new block or renovate the KG block without success, and continued that most members of the community hold meetings in the school and yet are not helpful to the school.
Mr. Eugene who has served the school since 2007 called on help from all sources to come to their aid to get the kids a new block.
