Kwesi Appiah has been out injured since June

Kwesi Appiah’s agent Saif Rubie is hoping the crocked forward will return to training with Crystal Palace in the new year.

Appiah, 25, ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament while training with Ghana in June ahead of an AFCON 2017 Qualifier against Mauritius.

The English-born striker who flourished for Ghana at the 2015 AFCON is expected to return to training in early January and his agent has echoed the forward’s desire to get back to action.

Saif visited the striker at his base in the United Kingdom and tweeted he hopes the striker returns to action.

Kwesi Appiah scored once and provided two assist for Ghana at their silver-winning performance at the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.
