He said, the ministry will soon be intensifying monitoring and evaluation of the expenditures made out of its share of the stool land revenue, and recommend appropriate sanctions for defaulting.

Addressing the launch of Office of Administrator of the Stool Lands’ 20th anniversary celebration held in Kumasi, he said, the portion of the stool land revenue allotted to the MMDA’s by the 1992 constitution, is meant for developmental projects in the areas from which the revenue is derived from.
But some of the MMDA’s does not use the revenue for it’s purpose.
He therefore called on the chief Executives of MMDA’s to ensure the strict utilization of the stool land revenues, for it to benefit the people in their various communities.
