Mrs Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ada has cut the sod for the construction of a kindergarten school block for the Aminapah community of Ada in the Greater Accra Region.
The project comprises two-unit classroom block with bathrooms, store, playing ground and the provision of a fence wall.
Mrs Ghansah told the people that she would continue to support communities within the constituency with the provision of social amenities to improve their living condition.
She asked the contractor to complete the project within the stipulated period of two months.
The kindergarten block when completed would alleviate the suffering of the children of school-going age in the communities along the banks of Soghor Lagoon who have to trek miles to access education.
The children are mostly affected during the rainy season as the road network in the area becomes unmotorable.
Nene Amartey Korley III, the Chief of Aminapah expressed gratitude to the MP for bringing the project to the community to ease the sufferings of the children.
Miss Sarah Dugbakie Pobee, the Ada East District Chief Executive, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that about 10 GETFund projects had been approved for the District.
She said among the projects are the construction of dormitories and the provision of other facilities for the Ada Senior High School to end the double track educational system at the school.
