Moslem youths have been warned to refrain from any acts of violence that can mar the up-coming general elections slated for Dec.7 this year.

The advice was given by the Imam of the Gomoa Afransi Central Mosque Abdallah Mohammed Asonaba, the Imam of Wawaase mosque in Agona Swedru Habibu Ayuba and the Imam of the Ahmaddya Central mosque at Nyamendam, Abdulwahab Adams Kofi in separate interviews with this platform.
Their advice follows recent pleas made by concerned members of the public, including Moslem leaders in the run-up to the elections.
According to Imams, Islamic religion teaches against all forms of violence and therefore does not take kindly to people who perpetrate such acts under the guise of protecting the Islamic religion.
They described as unacceptable and un-Islamic the situation where some people hide behind the Islamic religion to perpetrate all forms of violence against humanity under the guise of fighting for the course of the Islamic religion.

They have therefore warned that any Moslem who will associate himself with any such group of bandits with the intention of perpetrating any acts of violence before, during and after the elections would be disowned and handed over to the security agencies, when caught.
