In an announcement on Tuesday, the Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF) said that the projects will be implemented over a period of five years.

EIF said the Green Climate Fund at its 14th meeting of the Board, held from Oct. 12 to 13 approved two proposals from Namibia to address climate change.

EIF said that one of the projects is centred around climate-smart agriculture and resilience for the north-eastern regions. The project is valued at approximately 10.1 million U.S. dollars.

Meanwhile the second is a grants-facility for Community based Natural Resource Management. The project is valued at approximately 10.7 million U.S. dollars. Enditem
