It was an agonising shock, when I heard that, per our budget statement of 2013, the NDC Party under President John “Drama man” Dramani Mahama had spent eight billion Ghana Cedis, far more in excess of the budgetary allocation for the previous year, and that all of that amount had been spent only in the last quarter of that year, which was an election one. It was clear by the extravagance of the NDC’s campaign activities and the distribution of cars to lady voters in some tertiary institutions and chiefs during that election period, that the eight billion Had been spent fighting the elections.
If President Mahama, who was finishing the unfinished term of his boss, President JEA Mills, could not tell Ghanaians about the tangible achievements of his boss and himself as Vice, but had to use so much of our resources instead of fulfilled campaign promises on the ground, then was there any achievement at all?. For how could the man who promised so much to Ghanaians give us so little?. How could the man who has been given so much in life for free and handed so much in terms of our country and her resources by the Supreme Court in 2013, end up giving Ghana so little to show for his reign?.
Had Mahama and the NDC just carried out his first coup d’ etat on Ghanaians before his favourite book, ‘My first coup d’ etat’, his now famous gift to world leaders, had been published?. Had the Mahama dynasty cleverly stolen our destiny as a nation, while we were yet sleeping away or what?. To quote Dr. Prophet BAWUMIA last week, in an encounter in the UK with the NPP Midlands Chapter and who perhaps, also very confused by the situation, wondered ‘how any Party that wants to run a serious government can have a slogan as ‘e dey bee keke’ and be expected to run that government properly’?.
Economics Prophet Bawumia, had long seen it all coming down to this and cautioned the NDC government extensively.
Now, to those who are quick to accuse Dr Prophet BAWUMIA of not backing his words by attending the glamorous Picnic at the Senchi River Side, here’s a very popular quote from the good old bible:
‘But Jesus said to them, ?A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.? Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. (?Mark? ?6?:?4-5? NKJV)
It says even Jesus COULD NOT do any mighty miracles among them, His very own people, because of their doubt. Note, He could not!, NOT He did not do.
Why?, because He had to be presented with their sick first, for Him to heal them through His miracles, from their infirmities. But did they even bother to present their really sick?, Certainly not, they chose rather to send a loose invitation, one that lacked faith in His abilities, and their doubting babies with sharp teeth to tear down the personality of Jesus by telling Him how they knew His dad as being one of them, and NOT to seek with honour, the miracle that He was very capable of, that is, to cure their corrupt spiritual and ECONOMIC policy direction. So He too could only take them lightly that had doubted his ability by turning down being among such company of people. Simple!!.
Perhaps, if they had paid attention to the message and not attacked the messenger, just His exorcising from them the spirit of “create, loot and share” would have cured their high levels of corruption and saved all of us the corrupt flying over of three million dollars cash into Brazil during the last World Cup, and the attendant global shame.
Hey!, talking of shame brings to mind Miss Ruby Mahama, we have heard many other names she uses, but we prefer her favourite one, and you can hate us as much as you can, but STILL, we in NPP Northamptonshire Chapter, prefer Ruby MAHAMA.
This is because, it helps us to better understand the actions of The Ghana High Commission, in going to secure bail for an otherwise very “ordinary” cocaine peddler arrested at Heathrow Airport.
Is former president JEA Mills being proved right in his Asomdwee Park grave, when he said he worried that members of his presidential entourage could be drug couriers, so wanted himself and them all searched?.
Ruby MAHAMA, had carried an obscene quantity of the drug on her gorgeous shoulders in a Luis Vuitton bag and had been carefully chaperoned by an operative who is now at large, through MAHAMA’s “high security” International Airport unto the waiting plane undetected, only to be arrested in the UK, and our country’s High Commissioner cannot sit at his desk for a minute, and you ask what my interest is with Miss Ruby MAHAMA’s surname?. Tweeaaaakaii.
What was the urgency behind her bail facilitation by the government of Ghana?, you too answer me wai.
What at all did we do wrong for MAHAMA TO HAMMER GHANAIANS SO BADLY?.
Under his Presidency, Ghanaians have suffered the following hardships, Dumsor Dumsor culture, High petrol charges, High LPG cost, Very high electricity bills, Collapsing factories, Collapsing Businesses, High Port charges and the deliberate confiscation of choice cars from importers for cronies, Collapsing NHIS, Collapsing Metro Mass Transport, Collapsing Sanitation in Ghana, MAHAMA himself had to jump into the gutter recently to clean it while the hired and paid AMA boss cheered him on from a distance, 2.1 billion dollars since oil drilling started unaccounted for, 8 billion Ghana CEDIS used in the last quarter of 2012, SADA, GYEEDA, Cash flying fiasco at BRAZIL 2014 and subsequent revelations and crying on National Television at the World Cup Commission, ASONGTABA, ZOOM LION’S CORRUPTION, MERCHANT BANK to FORTIS deal paid for with SSNIT Pensions fund money, FAILED MANIFESTO PROMISES, WOYOME, ISOFOTON, TOR, STATUTORY PAYMENT AREARS, GET FUND AREARS, EBOLA CENTRE in Ghana for money rather than a consideration for the lives of our people, the rot AT NASPA, Increasing indiscipline and impunity among Government functionaries, Increasing “Yentie obiaa’, coupled with Extreme suffering of the masses and sharing of Sanitary Pads by President MAHAMA.
I am further disheartened to know that in just six years under MAHAMA’s HAMMER of corruption and mismanagement, over Twenty seven (27) billion dollars has been added to the total debt stock of the country, which stood at 8 billion dollars from 1957- 2008. Meaning MAHAMA has spent in just six years, almost four times what the country has spent in its entire post independence history. (From Nkrumah – Kufuor).
To show how huge this additional pile up of corruption by MAHAMA and his NDC is, lets say, former President Kufuor and his NPP administration from 2000-2008 in government, incurred an
additional amount of 5.5 billion dollars to the debt stock, that’s in eight years and carried out the following programs in those eight years with that amount of 5.5 billion dollars:
The National Youth Employment Program, National Health Insurance Scheme, School Feeding Program, Capitation Grant, Free Maternal Care, Metro Mass Transport, Free Metro Mass Ride for children, Cocoa sector policies eg mass cocoa spraying, Repeal of the Criminal Libel Law, Public Procurement Act/Authority, National Identification Authority, Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty (LEAP), Millennium Challenge Account ($547m from MCA) part of which was used in constructing the N1 Highway, Single Spine Salary System, Automating Fast Track Courts, Creating Commercial Courts, Expansion of Energy Capacity -e.g Bui Dam, Jubilee House and Regional Jubilee Parks, Refocusing of GNPC’s Mandate leading to Oil Discovery, Stadia – Tamale, Sekondi, Kumasi, Accra, Cape Coast, Water Supply and Roads Infrastructure, ezwich – National payment systems, Redenomination of the Currency, National Pensions Authority, Debt Relief from the HIPC Initiative, ARB Apex Bank/Regulations 2006 (L.I. 1), High International Credit Rating, banks chasing clients to come for loans.
Now combine all that President Kufuor did in eight years, with the following done by our first President Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah: constructed Tema port and the Tema Motorway, KNUST, Parliament house, Job 600, several State owned companies, Asutuare Sugar factory, Ghana Shoe factory, Wenchi Tomato factory, State transport, Ghana Law and Medical Schools, Atomic energy Commission, Akosombo Dam, Free Northern education etc, and one would realise what MAHAMA’s six year waste could have gotten us as a nation, considering he has spent almost four times whatever was spent from 1957 – 2008.
What am saying is that on a more serious note, President MAHAMA and his NDC alone have had more money available to them and continue to have more, including those from nature by way of our oil resource and other discoveries to be made, than all the various governments put together since independence in 1957, all of these in just six years, yet what do we have to show as a nation?, we are faced today in Ghana with the absence of life’s basic necessities. When he could have done twice or more, what these former Presidents good visionary leadership have done for Ghana. So decide if we have had any value as Ghanaians, from MAHAMA’s CONSTANT HAMMERING, come 2016.
