New Edubiase President Salam Yakubu Predicts Hearts Will Fall On Sunday
New Edubiase president Abdul Salam Yakubu says their fans will not forgive them if they drop points against Hearts in Sunday?s Premier League opener.
Edubiase will host the Accra-based side at Bekwai hoping to start on a positive note.
Edubiase will be without influential duo Abieku Ainooson, who has joined Kotoko and Asiedu Atobrah for Sunday?s game at the Gyamfi?s Park.
Hearts coach David Duncan has promised to bring trophies to the club this season starting with a win at Edubiase.
But Edubiase chief Abdul Salam Yakubu admits the enormity of the task but insists they will put the phobians to the sword.
?Most our supporters are Kotoko supporters and so when we lost to Hearts last season, we had a torrd time with them,? Yakubu said
?So we?re very mindful and won?t allow Hearts an inch this season. We?re very prepared for the game and I believe we?ll win.
?We don?t want a repeat of what happened last season. This time around Hearts will fall at Bekwai.?
Hearts posted a narrow 1-0 win over Edubiase at the Gyamfi?s Park last term.
