Obour has lost his direction – Aboagye Boadi Yaw

Renowned radio personality and the manager of Space FM 87.7, Aboagye Boadi Yaw (ABY) has hit hard on President Obour on his call for banning profane songs.

In an interview with Akwasi O.J on Space FM, Mr Aboagye called President Obour a failure as far as steering the affairs of Ghana music and as well does not have any control over musicians for bringing out profane songs. wpid-obour1.jpg

“Obour has a point for calling on musicians to be conscious of their songs devoid of profane but he doesn’t have the control. If you’re a leader and you lack control then you have lost your direction.

Obour has never done anything about the welfare of the musicians. So the guys think that they’re pushing themselves through with their own resources, meaning you can’t control them. Obour is a failure.

He should tell us what he’s done. This is his second term. In terms of developing the musicians, he has failed. As a president, at least you should have brought out talents through talent hunt shows among others. They are playing musical chairs at MUSIGA. They take you from organizer position and you are given a treasurer. There are more to come out but it will be said at the right time.”

There has been a call on musicians to avoid the use of profane words in their songs by the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana(MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour known in the industry as Obour.

The call has been met with many lashes from the industry players who think Obour’s call is not in the right direction.

Key among them are Shatta Wale, Kontihene just to mention a few.
