The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has lauded the HFC Bank (Ghana) Limited for being committed to making customers the centre of its business.
With the history of a home finance company, the Bank, the Otumfuo said, had been very instrumental in the development of the mortgage industry, providing innovative products that cut across its varied customer base.
The Asantehene urged management and staff of the Bank to aspire for excellence in their operations, especially in the area of commercial, investment and mortgage banking, as well as micro finance.
This, he said, was a necessity if the Bank were to retain its reputation as one of the most diversified financial institutions in the country.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu said this when the management of the HFC Bank paid a courtesy call on him at his Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Wednesday.

On the left of Otumfuo (sitting) is Nana Agyei Duku, Board Chairman of HFC Bank, and on the right is Managing Director, Asare Akuffo. With them are some officials of the Bank.
The delegation was led by Nana Agyei Duku, the Board Chairman.
The others were Mr. Asare Akuffo, the Managing Director, Mr. Osei Asafo Adjei, Executive-Director in-charge of Corporate Banking, Mr. Charles Bonsu, General Manager in-charge of Mortgage and Consumer Loans and Mr. Lord Koramoa, Head of Marketing.
The visit was to congratulate the Asantehene as he celebrates the 15th Anniversary of his enthronement as the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool.
The Bank as part of the visit donated traditional drinks and cheque for 50, 000 Ghana Cedis towards the celebration of the Anniversary and the impending Otumfuo Special Golf Tournament slated for Kumasi.
The Asantehene said the Manhyia Palace would continue to be supportive of the Bank in their quest to achieving its mission statement.
Mr. Asare Akuffo said the HFC Bank has 35 branches with four in Kumasi.
He said the Bank was also constructing a state-of-the-art mall at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to facilitate business activities on campus.
The Managing Director praised Otumfuo Osei Tutu for being development- oriented; saying the 15-year rule of the king had seen him initiate many viable projects and programmes to raise the standard of living of the people.
