Coach Lateef Erinfolami of First Deep Water of Lagos on Monday expressed confidence in his team reaching a fourth consecutive final of the annual Zenith Bank Women Basketball playoffs.

Erinfolami disclosed this to newsmen after his team defeated Plateau Rocks of Jos 88-50, at the ongoing 2012/2013 edition of the competition.

Erinfolami said he was happy at the way his girls played, adding that he was hardly stressed watching from the bench whenever the girls played.

?I am happy the way my girls played as a team, they easily gel and have a good ball sense; they take to instructions and have the will to listen,?? Erinfolami said.

Coach Chris Wesley of Plateau, however, said his young players met a tougher opposition, which was also well coordinated and tutored.

“We met a tougher opposition, they are very mobile and play good basketball, they have been together for some time and they are certainly the best team.

“However, losing our two games does not diminish our potential, we are a young team and gradually gathering the necessary experience that matters,?? Wesley said.

In other matches played, First Bank of Lagos whitewashed FCT Angels 71-45, Dolphins of Lagos spanked Nigeria Customs 83-62, while Sunshine Angels of Akure defeated IGP Queens of Lagos 55-47.
