The Right. Reverend Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, Moderator of Presbyterian Church of Ghana on Wednesday advised Christians to rise above negative criticisms and focus on God’s words.
He said: “There are so many things, which cripple us, for which we must arise from. Do not think about what people say, focus on what God says about you, your first level of deliverance is to believe what God says or think about you.”
The Moderator was preaching at a midweek service by the Presbyterian Church at the Mount Moriah Prayer Centre, Danfa.
He spoke on the theme: Arise for your glory has come.
Rt. Rev Mante said Christians must know that their first level of deliverance is knowing and believing what God thinks about them instead of what people think or say about them
“Stand in the mirror every day and talk to yourself, tell yourself what God’s word says about you, say good things about yourself, the Christ power in you enables you to rise above all levels” he said
Rt. Rev Mante also admonished Christians to avoid sin, “sin is another thing that cripples us as Christians, the more you sin, the more the devil takes over your life, avoid sin.”
He said Christianity transcended death; therefore, Christians must also rise above the fear of death, explaining that the fear of death cripples us as Christians and pushes us to engage in all kinds of things.
“The most eternal thing to be sure of is your salvation, God wants people who arise” he said.
Commending the Director of the Mount Moriah Prayer Centre, Rev. Daniel Kwesi Ayim, The Moderator, said, the prayer centre is a good one because it empowers its members to pray for themselves
