Rangers lost 1-0 at Sharks in a rescheduled Nigeria league Week 16 match on Sunday.
Rangers are fourth on the table with 30 points from 19 matches, while Sharks remain bottom of the table despite the victory with 20 points.
The only goal of the match was an own goal scored by a Rangers defender, who headed home Yinka Adedeji’s corner in the 23rd minute.
All effort by both sides to get goals after that proved futile.
Rangers forward Oghogho Oduokpe said that they were unlucky to lose the match.
“The worst result we would have got in this game was a draw, but we lost. It was painful. We were so unlucky because we conceded an own goal,” Oduokpe lamented.
