They qualified to play in the division one the second attempt at Volta Regional Division 2 league at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
On their first attempt, Chairman of the Club promised beefing up the team to come back and qualify. That, surprisingly materialized.
The team is having a club house, a training park, a manager, and being coached by Regional Coach, Christopher Tsomafo.
They have played two matches in the ongoing division one league and have kept clean sheet, also without finding the back of the net. A goalles with Nania Fc away and another with Pure Joy at home.
The make the team a bit experienced, they signed on Melike Dzado a former goalkeeper of Ho Hosteel Fc and his compatriot Francis Asaase.
Jeremy Asafo, Edem Soku, Ziadzor Mathias, Nicholas Amekporwu and Randy Annertey Abbey are some of the very good players they have, just to mention a few.
The club is currently using the WAFA park at Fievie but are not allowed to train on the pitch, neither do they play on the first pitch where supporters will pay to watch.
They are pleading with the Authorities of WAFA to allow them use the main pitch in order to get some gate fees to support themselves.
The reason of WAFA is that, they want to study the supporters of Roberto Fc for sometime before allowing them use the main pitch, but in reality the two clubs have the same people coming to the park to support and cheer them; one being Bakpa Youth Supporters Union lead by Yohannes Haezor.
Nicholas Amekporwu, an attacker, who have had stints with Bechem Utd and Amidaus Professionals, speaks about their need as a players after their match day two at home.
“We are trying to win more games, but we the players we’re not happy, things are not going well. We are training all right but we are not feeling happy in our heart to play. So for me, I don’t think if there’s no happiness we can play. Football is all about motivation and if there’s nothing like that coming, we can’t play; I don’t think so, we can’t do it. We have no sponsors too, so we’re pleading on the big people in and outside the region to come and invest in us and we’ll not let them down.”
Roberto Fc, is keen on remaining in the division one league, awaiting other clubs and with that target calling on cooperate bodies to come support the team.
They will next play Nungua based Danbort Fc on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
