Coach Pitso Mosimane says the Ghanaian contingent at Mamelodi Sundowns need more time to adapt to the more faster South African game.

Emmanuel Baffour and Mumuni Abubakar have failed to win regular first team spots with the Brazilians haven excelled the season before in the Ghanaian top flight.

Baffour emerged top scorer of the Ghana Premier League after scoring 21 goals in the 2011/12 season while with New Edubiase.

His breakthrough season saw him make a big money move to Sundowns where he was joined by his Edubiase teammate Mumuni Abubakar who was one of the best midfielders then in the Ghanaian top flight.

Both players have however been left to rot on the Sundowns bench with Baffour making just two cameo appearances while Abubakar struggles to even get a spot on the bench on matchdays.

But coach Mosimane who has brought his team to Ghana on a pre-season training tour says the two Ghanaians need more time to adapt to the faster South African game.

?They were signed by the former coach but you must understand they need time to adapt,? he said.

?The style in South African league is a bit faster than here in Ghana so they need time to adapt.?

Abubakar has already been farmed out on loan to Belgian club Cercle Brugge where he is unlikely to return especially if he excels.

Baffour on the other remains a curious case as he wasn?t even included in the team that is currently in Ghana for a pre-season tour.
