The monthly Old School music event, Soul to Soul comes round a full year this December with the promise of more sensational performances from the best bands, djs and artistes all on one stage. Former Osibisa keyboardist and astute? judge of the MTN Hitmaker series ?Bessa Simmons leads the 8 man ?band on Friday December 6 at the award winning hotstop, +233 Jazz Bar and Grill in one of the most creative events ever to have hit the capital.

DSC_5391December will see multiple surprise acts up on stage, raising the bar as the year ends. Soul to Soul has been renowned for pulling up some of the biggest surprises in the music scene this year in terms of being the platform where acclaimed hit makers and Djs bring their golden hits to the limelight to the delight of their? ever yearning and cheering fans. Patrons of the event, have witnessed? K.K Fosu, Daasebre Gyamena, Felix Owusu, Afriye of Wutah fame,? Samini and many other greats simply jamming with the crowd in a way that?s only possible with the ambience masterfully crafted by organisers.

Bessa Simmons also promises a ?December to remember? for all fans of the band and will be bringing to stage something fresh that will leave audiences in the mood for more. Bessa, who is not a stranger to Soul to Soul, disclosed that he can?t wait to mount the Soul to Soul stage once more. Asked what was special to him about the event he said it was ?the atmosphere with relaxed people simply out to let loose and have a great time?. It is therefore no surprise that the dexterous keyboardist has been spotted at the event several times to join in the fun on nights he was not performing.

The last event in November saw new twist in the Soul to Soul delivery, as Amanzeba, the seasoned Afrobeat/Highlife artiste treated patrons to an interactive night of authentic African music right alongside the thumping beats of ?Aint no stopping us now? and ?Can?t get enough of your love?, dished out by the dexterous Dj. ?There are 1001 ways to create great experiences with live music? , Mr Nortey Dua, CEO of Karl Aubyn Events said, ?and we take delight in exploring and creating a good blend that remains relevant in this setting.?

There have been rumours abound of a second December event which is as yet unconfirmed by organisers. It will be interesting to see how the closing show for the year would be executed but we know for certain that it should be something for the memoirs.

Soul to Soul is a monthly event organised by Karl Aubyn Events in collaboration with +233 Jazz Bar and Grill and partnered by Citi Fm, who carry the event live on 97.3FM and citifmonline.com each month.
