Buildaf Estates Limited, a fast growing estate developer in the country is to build a hospital for the Southern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces to complement the efforts of the Government to provide quality medical care for servicemen.
The hospital, which would also cater for the public, would be the company’s contribution towards the well-being of Ghanaians.
Mr Abu Frempong Kwaning, Chief Executive Officer of the company, disclosed this at the commissioning of the ‘Mayfair’ Accommodation and the ‘Eastern Gate Guards’ blocks for the Southern Command in Accra.
The six-unit ‘Mayfair’ apartment was built by Mayfair Estates Limited, while the Eastern Gate Guards block was constructed by Buildaf Estate Limited.
Mr Kwaning expressed the hope that the facilities would be well maintained to prolong its lifespan.
Brigadier-General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, General Officer Commanding the Southern Command said the facilities had been completed at a time that the staff strength of the Unit had increased.
He said the Mayfair Accommodation Block would help solve the housing deficit facing the Command.
Brig-Gen Oppong-Peprah expressed the hope that the new Eastern Gate Guards Block would motivate the servicemen to go about their duties with devotion and give the entrance to the Command a facelift.
