Godwin Attram wants fans to desist from ?insulting? veteran footballers who have returned to the Ghana Premier League.
The 34-year-old has rejoined his former club Great Olympics after 15 years of playing abroad.
In Ghana, ex-internationals have ruled out returning to the Ghana top-flight either to relaunch their careers or retire due to verbal abuses and insults from fans.
They are tagged old and finished by the fans and that has been a huge disincentive.
?I am pleading with the fans to accept the professional players whenever they are about to retire or even if they are coming to re-launch their careers,? Attram told Joy Sports.
?Over the years, the fans have been bullying them and saying that ?you are old? and ?you cannot play?. I am asking them to stop that because football is here in Ghana.?
Attram have featured for clubs in Holland, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
