According to reliable source reveal the strange bats over the past two years killed almost all the trees in the area which is a worry to many residents.
“It is the place we perform all our customs and rites especially during the Ohum festivities but these bats from nowhere have destroyed all the trees” an elderly lamented.
Eventhough the reason for their appearance is still not known, some residents who spoke to the reporter were in the view it may be a spiritual incidence and called on both the traditional authority, Men of God and Moslems to all help unravel the causes.
Meanwhile, the Traditional Authority seems not to be doing enough to find the real source of the bats.
In a related development, the youth of the community have expressed worry about the constant death of the youth over the past two years which has claimed lots of lives in mysterious ways.
“We know death occurs everywhere but Old Tafo is experiencing too much deaths especially among we the youth” some worried youths..
