Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi says midfielder, Sulley Muntari will face disciplinary action for disrespecting the coaching staff during last month’s Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier.
The AC Milan confronted the coach and questioned why he was substituted in the match against Lesotho in Maseru in which the Black Stars win 2-0.
Muntari angrily stormed into the dressing room with some tantrums but later returned to rejoin his teammates to celebrate.
Nyantakyi says Muntari will be disciplined according the code of conduct signed by all players of the Black Stars.
“Sanctions will be applied on Sulley according to the code of conduct of the Black Stars,” GFA President said.
It will be called that Andre Ayew was forced to apologise to the coach when he pulled a strop during their Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi last year. But the Olympique Marseille ace refused to apologise to the coach privately before he was issued with a public seven-day ultimatum.
This led to his temporary retirement from the national team in February this year.
