He said his major concern was the falling standards of education in the area that had been reflecting in the results of the Basic Education Certificate Examinations in recent years.
Mr Kpoor said this when the Ghana News Agency (GNA) Media Auditing and Development Tracking projects team paid a working visit to him in his office on Wednesday.
The GNA team was in the municipality to undertake a media auditing and tracking of development aimed at promoting transparency and accountability at the district level under a Star-Ghana sponsored project.
He said considering the poor academic performance of school children in the area in recent years, it was important for all stakeholders to come on board to find a lasting solution to the problem.
Mr Kpoor also appealed to parents and other stakeholders to see it as a major concern and help to improve performance of BECE.
He said the Birim Central Municipality had zero percent in some schools until last year when no school scored zero percent.
Mr Kpoor said last year the Municipality registered 1,714 out of which 1,692 wrote the examination. Out of the figure, 841 had between aggregate 06 and 07 representing 49.71 percent. Eight-hundred-and-fifty-one (851) had aggregate 31 and above which represented 50.29 percent.
He said this year a lot of efforts were put in place to ensure that that more children scored good aggregates.

Mr Kpoor said he had noted with concern the refusal of some parents and guardians to support their wards? education and appealed to them to change their attitudes and consider education as the best investments.
He appealed to parents to see their children?s education as a profitable investment and help them to reach wherever their academic brilliance would take them.
He said his outfit would not entertain any lackadaisical attitude from teachers and urged them to work hard to improve the academic standard of the children.
