Winners of the Troofe Festival cooking competition, an event that allowed citizens of different African countries to showcase their dishes in Accra, have been honoured.

Ms Jamilatu Issa, a Ghanaian, emerged the winner in the competition followed by Ms Audia Moussalou, a Gabonese.
Mr Wenceslas Appia, Managing Director of Winners Partners Groupe, organizers of the festival, said the Groupe is pleased to have undertaken such a step to promote cultural values and African uniqueness and expressed the hope that more partners would join the event in the coming years.
He said the purpose of organizing the festival was to promote African culture and dishes, stressing that the fact that the festival was held on the Farmers’ day indicates their gratitude to farmers for making their produce available to the entire citizenry.
Mr Appia said the Groupe chose to mark the celebration of the festival in Ghana because it is between Anglophone and Francophone countries and this could be a hub for promoting African culture and values.
“The Troofe festival is going to be bigger and better with variety of dishes from many African countries in the next edition”, he said.
He appealed to corporate organisations that support the promotion of African values to support the Groupe to enhance the festival in its next edition.
Madam Micheline Yahot, Country Manager of Air Côte d’Ivoire, said they decided to support the festival when they found out that the main idea for organizing the event was to bring Africans together to promote cultural values.
She said the organisation operates within 19 countries and 21 destinations, and the winners were given the mandate to select a country of their choice for a vacation and both winners chose Abidjan.
Winners Partners Groupe is a company in Ghana that has a core mission of supporting companies to perform by undertaking marketing management activities, auditing and event organizing.
