Trouble Looms In Kwaebibirem District

Politics they say is about numbers, therefore, it is crucially essential for a party to work hard to secure and guarantee its votes; and developments within the KWAEBIBEREM DISTRICT must be of concern to the NDC hierarchy and the government as a whole.

Reports trickling in from KADE, ASUOM and other communities within the Kwaebibirem district indicate that, there is a crippling disaffection towards the NDC party and governent which if not quickly dealt with will derail the political fortunes of the NDC in future elections.

Opinion leaders like the GPRTU CHAIRMAN OF KADE, Mr. Boadi and the KADE MARKET QUEEN, Madam Dora Birikoramaa, have expressed their frustrations and disappointments about the lackluster manner the DCE has approached developmental projects within the districts.

They expressed in particular their anger about the way and manner the DCE is handling their lorry park project. According to them, the DCE, Hon. Emmanuel R.A. Osae has failed to complete the paving of the lorry park at the main market of the district which is now posing danger to the people because commercial drivers have been compelled to load on the fringes of the main road for two years.

Many accidents have occurred because of the congestion, and all efforts to get the DCE to expedite action to get it complete has fallen on death ears. The project is less than 50% complete even though it was started two years ago. Madam Birikoramaa lamented that life has become difficult for traders in the market because customers after alighting from vehicles find it convenient to buy from the roadside without going to buy from the market. Mr. Boadi also added that roads in the district have become almost unmotorable even though the Assemble has a grader.

Some chiefs who spoke on anonymity claimed that, the DCE is not cooperating with them and has no interest in the developmental needs of the people.
