The editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Ken Kuranchie has been sentenced to 10 days in prison while Stephen Atubiga of the governing NDC has been sentenced to three days in prison for making prejudicial comments about the on-going election petition the case at the Supreme Court.

Mr. Ken Kuranchie, Stephen Atubiga and Kweku Boahen both of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were ordered to appear before the judges for making the comments after the judges issued a final warning about reportage on the case saying ?any person be it in the media or not who crosses the final touchline on proper coverage and reportage on our court proceedings will be met with the appropriate response from this court.?

Delivering the ruling of the court, the president of the panel of judges, Justice William Atuguba said Mr.Kuranchie failed to show any remorse when he appeared before them.

The court however discharged Mr. Kweku Boahen saying his comments fell outside their final touchline.
