Easter 2017 offered a grand opportunity for many Christians to organize programs and activities commemorating the crucifixion , death and resurrection of Jesus Christ .
Vineyard Chapel International, Grace Temple , Adenta, Accra, was not left out of the action . I was blessed to be at Adenta both on Easter Sunday, April 16, and the following Sunday which was April 23rd 2017 .
It was so refreshing to meet my fellow brethren some of whom I had ‘not met since the burial of my precious departed wife , Mrs. Ann Ameh, at Amedzofe Avatime in the Volta Region in September 2015.
Bishop Samuel Vagalas Kanco , General Overseer of Vineyard Chapel International, preached some important messages on both occasions . For the sake of brevity I shall only highlight the titles of the messages and the accompanying scriptures which you can read for yourself .
Messages of the Season
The First message given Rev. by Kanco on Easter Sunday was entitled ‘’ The Blood and The Cross- He is Risen’’
In that message, the Bishop spelt out in detail how Jesus Christ perfectly
undertook the redemptive assignment on the cross and left for all mankind
a legacy of total liberation, restoration and freedom .

The second message on Sunday, 23rd April was entitled ‘’Christ our Peace.’’ Bishop Kanco again took time to emphasize the fact that nobody can have peace outside of Jesus Christ . He said many people have all the material things of this world , but they are running from pillar to post looking for peace because they don’t have Christ.
‘’It is Jesus Christ alone who is able to give the peace that passes all understanding, ‘’ Bishop Kanco stressed . The quoted texts for the 2nd message on the Peace of Christ are as follows;

Ordination & Commissioning Service To Climax Programs And Activities For The Month Of Easter 2017 .
An Ordination and Commissioning Service will be held on Sunday 30th April at the Grace Temple, Vineyard Chapel International, Adenta. Among those to be ordained as Reverend Ministers are Pastor Barnabas Angmortey , Pastor Samuel Gyedani, Pastor Daniel Boateng and Prophetess Victoria Haziel.
Those to be commissioned as Pastors are Bother Philip Osoom, Brother Wisdom Agobah, Brother Julius Gbena, and Sister Edna Asafu –Agyei. The leadership of the church including Members of the Interim Executive Committee of the Vineyard Women’s ministry Department were seen busily planning for the grand ordination and commissioning service on Sunday 30th April, 2017
The women’s ministry executives, led by Rev. Mrs. Evelyn Hawa Kanco , include Mrs. Helena Simmons , Madam Naomi Mensah , Mrs. Joyce Takyi and Madam Joyce Neizer.
