The product, which is a hybrid of its old motor insurance product intends to meet the yearnings of customers for budget and lifestyle flexibility; and it includes, ‘MOOV Basic’ for the third party motor insurance only, ‘MOOV Plus’ for third party (fire and theft), ‘MOOV Prestige’ for basic comprehensive insurance and ‘MOOV Luxury’ for the maximum motor cover available.

Addressing the media at the launch in Accra, Mr Adedayo Arowojolu, Managing Director of Wapic Insurance (Ghana) Limited, noted that the fundamental component of its corporate strategy, is customer experience leadership and operational excellence to drive product introduction that were relevant and necessary for protection of property.
He said the company had positioned itself to lead in the industry’s transformation through innovative management of value drivers for the benefit of the insuring public, adding that “our efforts have culminated in the redevelopment of our motor insurance product”.
The Managing Director said an integral part of the product, is the fact that the customer could literarily custom-create his insurance cover; and had also made the product more accessible for the insuring public as there are more product purchase channels.
Mr Arowojolu, expressed hope that the product would contribute significantly towards the positive change in perception of insurance as well address major needs of customers.
In an interview, he told the Ghana News Agency that the company have been in the market for almost nine years, and had examined, researched and discovered that motor insurance product which is the most important product in the market, is largely commoditized as such, customers do not have options.
Mr Arowojolu said it is therefore appropriate to introduce innovative products that would give customers the right to select and pay for what they want based on their budget.
