Hon Thomas Ampem Nyarko, the newly elected President Nominee for Asugyaman District Assembly has been confirmed by the Assembly members on one touch victory as the District Chief Executive on the confirmation of 55 member?s presents total valid votes cast, 51 votes YES representing 96%, while 2 vote NO as 2%.
The DCE Hon Thomas Ampem Nyarko, on his acceptance speech extend his gratitude?s to the members for their endorsement and said, as he took over from the former DCE Hon Johnson Ahiaghbor will continue to deliver the better Ghana Agenda Promise of the NDC in collaboration with the Assembly members, not based on Partisan Politics but with hard working in order to move the district forward as a modern and extra ordinary.
According to him, he has many plans to initiate policies to attract foreigners and investors to visit the tourist sites in the district to generate income, and will implement the decentralization policies to endure the benefit of all people in the Asuogyaman District.
Hon Osei Kofi Ameyaw, the Asuogyaman MP who also graced the event thanks the members and said, he will work together with the DCE and the assembly members not based on partisan politics, in order to deploy more development to the district and will maintain the peace and unity in the district.
The Deputy Eastern Regional minister Mavis Frimpong who was the guest of honor thanks the members and averred that the government through decentralization system will deploy more projects for the district and will monitor the work of the DCE in order to help its community to get portable water, good roads, jobs, security, food and among others which are needed to humankind.
Many were in attendance, who graced the event such as the Deputy Education Minister for the Tertiary and MP for North Toghu, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Members from the NDC Eastern Regional and National Executives, NDC Party Supporters, Chiefs and Queen mother?s from the Anum Traditional Council, Security Personals and among others.
