The group is tasked with the duty of ensuring that it is able to win more floating voters within the NDC rank, by so doing the party will expand its membership front towards the achievement of their desired goal, which is nothing but victory.
Addressing the gathering, Alhaji Yusif Jajah appealed to members of the party to ensure victory, advising the Zongo for Mahama to educate the masses about the developmental projects that have gone on under the Mahama administration.
He said, the Ayawaso North constituency has always been won by the NDC and that there is no reason for the constituency to fall to the opposition.
On his part, Hon Ibrahim Jajah, Constituency Chairman for Ayawaso West Wuogon of the NDC and National Chairman for Zongo for Mahama said, the NDC administration under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is more than committed to ensure victory in the coming elections and for that matter, respective by winning support for the party.
He acknowledged the fact that the party is moved by the grassroot and that that was the reason why the Zongo for Mahama was being formed.
“My belief is that the party youth including Zongo For Mahama are the game changers. One thing is certain is that these groups have the chance of relating directly to the people and hence they will be able to go on the grounds, campaign and ensure we win the elections.”
We also know that the NDC won the 2012 elections against huge odds because at every turn, the party was flexible enough to change critical strategy and even critical personnel in the face of crisis after crisis. Indeed the party has also faced some challenges in the past, but I can assure you that the NDC has surmounted these challenges and is ready to turn things around for the better,” Ibrahim Jajah noted.
“What I have to tell you is that, as members of Zongo For Mahama, you must remain resolute and calm amidst the tough times, focus and ensure victory. However, I have total faith and confidence in the powerful team of players you have who are ready to carry the burden of delivering a one touch NDC victory in the coming elections,” he said.
Ibrahim Jajah also assured the team to kick-start a severe campaign strategy that will again help the great party to victory in the November 2016 elections.
At the end of the launch, executives were appointed to steer the affairs of the group. They include, Eric Kramoah, Haruna Mohammed, Robert Morton, Zainabu Issah, Felicia Awudi and Hajia Madam.
They expressed readiness to take up the task of pushing the party’s agenda forward.
