Dana to pay victims’ families $100,000 each

Pilots and crew members’ families will also be compensated

Family members of passengers who lost their lives on Sunday in the Dana plane crash are to receive the sum of $100, 000 each.

The money will be paid in accordance with the International Civil Aviation organisation (ICAO) and the Passengers Liability Policy. 

The Insurance companies, led by a Nigerian-based Indian Company, Prestige Assurance Plc, will pay a minimum of N2.29 billion in total as compensation to the families of those who lost their lives in the plane crash. 

The Airliner is expected to pay $250,000.00 respectively to the families of the two pilots, while those of the six-crew members will each receive $150,000.00.

Prestige Assurance Plc is the local insurer controlling 30 percent of the airline’s risk
