To motivate the interest of future leaders on environmental and sustainable development issues

The Nigerian Environmental Study/Action Team (NEST) has announced an essay competition for youths between the ages of 14 and 30.
Essays of not more than 10,000 words on the topic ‘The Nigerian Environment and Human Security’ are being accepted.
Awards will be given to the writers of the best three essays submitted in each category, at a ceremony during the NEST At 25 Conference on July 19, 2012.
Writers are expected to explore the dimensions of the impact of the degrading environment, and enhance the appreciation of the consequences of inadequate attention to the environment.
NEST, an NGO founded by a group of environmentalists, has made significant contributions in creating awareness and education on environmental and sustainable development issues.
Essays are to be accompanied by the curriculum vitae of the authors and submitted to: Chris Ichite, Programme Officer at [email protected] and [email protected]
