Information available indicates that R&B singer, Mary J. Blige?s father, Thomas Blige has been stabbed in the neck and is in critical condition in the hospital.
According to a post on nbcnews.com, Battle greek police indicates that the 63-year old, Thomas Blige, is in a Kalamazoo Hospital following surgery.
The attacker, a 50-year old woman by name Cheryl Ann White, who happens to be the former girlfriend of Mr.Blige has been arrested.
Mr.Bliges roommate, Michael thomas indicated that he was with the victim when he heard some hissing sounds that he heard from outside, where the air was being let out of his tires.
He later came back in after going to check and yelled for his friend who? found him bleeding profusely from stab wounds on his neck, side and arm.
According to Police, Blige confronted his assailant, Cheryl when he discovered her slashing the tires on his SUV and during the ensuring confrontation, the female stabbed the victim in the neck.
