German president pays state visit to Zambia

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Zambia Wednesday for a two-day state visit aimed at consolidating and strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Zambian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Stanley Kakubo said in a statement that Steinmeier and Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema are expected to hold bilateral talks centered on key issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in water and sanitation, agriculture, and small and medium enterprises development.

Kakubo said the German president is expected to visit some projects supported by his government.
