Bubbly actress Lydia Forson is likely to spend more weeks in Sierra Leone, where she has been shooting a movie since last month. There are reports of natural occurrences like rains in Sierra Leone which have compelled production to halt for weeks.

The Ghanaian actress and other actors from across Africa are waiting to complete shooting at the right time.
Lydia Forson arrived in Sierra Leone for the first time for the movie on Sunday, July 15.
Her arrival in Sierra Leone was greeted with a lot of enthusiasm as she made front pages of some top newspapers.
When President John Evans Atta Mills died, she was invited by the Ghana High Commission in Sierra Leone to sign the book of condolence for the late president.
Subsequently, she read a tribute at the funeral of the late president in Sierra Leone, which was attended by top diplomats.

Lydia remains a remarkable actress to have come out of Ghana. She has passion for what she does on the screens.
In recent times, she has been travelling out of Ghana for different projects.
She is the first Ghanaian actress to present an award at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), described as Africa?s Oscars.

At the last AMAA, she went as a special guest. The bubbly actress presented an award for Best Young/Upcoming Actor to Nigeria?s Ivie Okujaye who won for her role in the movie ?Alero?s Symphony?.
Lydia raised the flag of Ghana high on stage that night.
Her first AMAA appearance was in 2009 when she was nominated for Promising Actress of the Year.
In 2010, she went as a nominee and returned to Ghana as a co-winner of Best Actress In Leading Role for her performance in ?Perfect Picture? by Sparrow Production.
