Mark Hughes to succeed Neil Warnock as Leeds manager

Neil Warnock has told talkSPORT this morning that he wants Mark Hughes to succeed him as Leeds manager so he can ?destroy another team of mine?.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Warnock said: ?I personally hope Mark Hughes follows me again and destroys another team of mine.

?I don?t think it?s a club for a young manager. There is so much going on behind the scenes it is ridiculous really. It needs somebody who has seen it all and done it all.

?I laugh when I see some of these names. A) We can?t afford the compensation [to entice a big name manager] and B) do you think Mark Hughes would want Leeds United at the moment? It?s a hard one but there are a lot of applicants.?

Warnock also admitted that he is unlikely to manage again but plans to stay in football and take on a new role.

He added: ?I?ve got a young family and I want to relax a bit. But I do feel now, especially with the tenure of managers being so short, that there is a massive gap between the owners of a club and the manager himself and I don?t think there is enough expertise in between those two roles.

?I do think, even if it’s only a couple of days a week, I can help somebody. I’m sure there is somebody that would be crying out for that sort of role.?
