Anan stated that all security forces should have been employed to rescue the girls immediately the kidnap was reported.

He also noted that the cooperation of the people and security operatives would have been key in recovering the missing girls early enough.

?It is very clear that all security forces are needed to save the girls. This suggests that there should be a means of communication between the forces and the people but if the people are alienated from the Police, they will not get help,? Anan offered.

While appreciating the offer by foreign countries to help with the troubled region of the country, he said: ?I?m grateful to the US, UK and other nations who have offered to help at this time of pressing need?.

Nigerians are still expectant of the military forces which the US reportedly promised to send to assist the Nigerian Army comb Sambisa forest in Borno State where the insurgents were reported to be hiding the kidnapped girls.
