The Sekyere South District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has held a day’s stakeholders’ consultative engagement to solicit inputs to be integrated into its scheme for public sensitization, especially during this crucial election year.

The goal, is to ensure that all NCCE educational outreach programmes, were tailored to meet the prioritised
and felt needs of the citizenry in the various communities for impactful outcomes as regards their civic
rights and responsibilities and safeguarding a peaceful pre and post-election period.

Mr Evans Nunoo, the NCCE District Director addressing the meeting, said the move was also an innovative
strategy by his outfit to incorporate the coordinated efforts of the various local government departments
and agencies, into its public education plans.

The event brought together nine major government institutions within the District – the Commission on
Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Department of
Social Welfare.

The rest are; the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Health Service, National Disaster Management Organisation
(NADMO), the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (NADMO) and the Sekyere South District Assembly.

Mr Benedict Asorbayeri, the District Human Resource Manager of the Assembly, urged the NCCE to up its
public education on timely payment of levies and taxes to accelerate socio-economic development in the
