Mr. Gianni Infantino, President of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has congratulated Asante Kotoko for winning the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.
Asante Kotoko emerged champions of the Ghana Premier League this season after last winning it in 2014.
A letter from the FIFA President to Mr. Kurt Simeon Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said “it is with great pleasure that I congratulate Asante Kotoko SC for having been crowned 2021/22 champions of Ghana.”
He commended the whole team for the hard work, passion and dedication shown which had earned them the title they have been longing for.
Mr. Infantino further thanked the GFA president and the GFA for their contribution to the development and prosperity of football in Ghana and Africa.
Asante Kotoko have won the GPL title for the 24th time and are getting ready as they prepare to represent Ghana at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.
